Today is Black Saturday, the last day of Holy Week, and a great day to sip a cup of coffee in a cozy place.

After wandering around the city, I decided to take a break and relax at a coffee shop to end the day. This is where I found CoHo Cafe in Banlic, Bacolor. It is in the Occazia Building. When I saw that the place was very quiet and had a very comfortable atmosphere, it caught my attention. And as someone who likes to be alone, it was perfect.

In all honesty, the location is on a blind corner, and if you ever walk by, especially during the day, you won’t even notice that there’s a coffee shop in the building. But when night comes, the bright lights from the front entrance to the garden in the back are very nice. You can stay inside the shop, where it’s cool, and enjoy a hot cup of coffee, or you can go outside, where there are different tables, and just enjoy a cold drink in the summer.

The café has an outdoor space for those who wants to feel the evening vibe of the summer.

I asked for an iced hazelnut latte, and I’m going to say “yes” to it. There’s no way to tell how much sugar is in it, but I think it’s just right. Even though the taste is strong, it is not acidic. There is also enough ice—not too much or too little. From the inside to the outside, the place is very clean. Last but not least, the service is great. When I go to coffee shops, I often don’t have a good time because there are too many people, no seats, and long lines at the counter. But at this coffee shop, I was able to stretch out on their comfy couch and just be myself, which was cute and messy.

One of the servers said that the place also has rooms to stay in overnight and a public pool that can be used during the stay. The pool is under the building where the rooms are, so people who swim during the day won’t get sunburned. They also have light snacks and full meals in the coffee shop for those who want to stay in. In front of the building, there is a large space for a parking lot and a path that leads to the lobby.

At the end of the day, we all enjoy and unwind in different ways. But we can’t deny that this is part of what keeps us from going crazy. The smell of hot coffee and the creamy taste of iced coffee while we have fun, and staying in a place that is just as comfortable as home.
